Erin Pritchard, MA, LPCC-S, EMDRIA Approved Consultant, Certified EMDR Therapist, Founder & Executive Director

Erin only accepts new clients for Intensive EMDR therapy.

Clients come to me seeking someone who’s highly specialized, empathetic, encouraging, and honest. My clients joke that I’m always ready with a resource - which is true!  I bring a lot of psychoeducation into sessions because I believe it’s so empowering to learn about your own trauma responses. It’s the basis for building a sense of compassion for ourselves and healing old wounds. And I love that we can sometimes laugh together in sessions. Therapy doesn’t always need to be so serious.

I work with clients to treat underlying causes of stress and anxiety, trauma, sexual dysfunction, and relationship concerns. My clients are here for some deep digging - to gain insight into the why of their behavior, ready to change negative beliefs about themselves, and really heal the root cause of their mental health symptoms and relationship troubles.  I love facilitating this process with EMDR therapy, specifically through EMDR Intensives.  Together we’ll look at your survival strategies - things that once made sense for you, but now leave you feeling stuck - and uncover your true self.  Along the way, you’ll build new practical tools to manage stress, improve communication, be more in tune with your body, and have healthier relationships.  It’s a privilege to sit with my clients as they navigate their inner worlds and to bear witness to the incredible healing power of the brain.

I take a holistic approach to mental health treatment, which means that I’ll consider the impact of biology, your lifestyle, and psychological factors, and incorporate your strengths into treatment. I actively encourage collaboration with other wellness professionals to address the ways stress shows up and wreaks havoc elsewhere in your body, that are outside my scope of practice.

I work to create a sense of safety by offering a nonjudgmental, supportive relationship and a casual, peaceful environment.  I believe all people have inherent value as human beings and are worthy of emotional wellbeing and healthy relationships. I work to help you see this in yourself and show up this way in your everyday life. Therapy is a space to feel, process, learn, explore, try, heal, grow, and thrive. As someone who’s done their own work, I look forward to coming alongside you in your healing journey.

Because I work with survivors of purity culture, I’m often asked questions like: Are you a Christian counselor? Here’s my answer: Yes and no. My faith is personally important to me and is a large part of the story behind why I became a therapist, but it is not how I provide therapy. I firmly believe in the integration of sound psychological treatment and an emotionally healthy Christian foundation for true health and wholeness in life. I warmly welcome clients of all belief systems and identities and will never force personal beliefs on you. How much or how little we focus on spirituality during our sessions is entirely up to you as the client.

Outside of the office, I enjoy living a fun and faith-filled life with my husband and two Newfypoo puppies, friends, and family. I love to be outdoors and try to spend as much time as possible hiking, camping, and traveling. I enjoy cooking, gardening, and exploring local eateries.
